The actual colony is located within Stalwart's atmosphere. Below its stormy upper atmosphere is a calm band that supports an alien ecosystem. It is here where a hidden airborne city floats among the clouds. It uses giant balloons to remain aloft while a fusion core provides everyday power needs.

During the Singularity War, [[Eris Duellona]] was charged with protecting this outpost after stopping by it for repairs. However, with the colony soon cutting itself afterward, she had no choice but to enter cryostasis herself.

Though blue giants have a short lifespan compared to other stars, life on Stalwary developed relatively fast. Floating plankton dominates the skies while parachuting spider-like creatures drift from algae cluster to algae cluster. Enormous jellyfish with blimp-like bodies drift lazily, using their tentacles to catch whatever prey gets caught in their grasp.

Kratos Duellona is a powerful half-Valerian warrior. Despite the Duellona bloodline having intermingled with normal humans, he is still just as strong as a pureblooded Valerian through his own intensive training regiments. His weapon of choice is a vibrating double-bladed polearm which he twirls about in an unpredictable fashion. The vibrating nature allows it to cut through the majority of various types of metal and armor, only capable of being blocked by adequate forcefields or unique types of alloys.

Kratos is a brilliant leader and tactitian. Despite being old-fashioned, he also has a way with words and is masterful at motivating his fellow warriors. A Federation dossier on him states that were it not for his affiliation with Taranis, he would make for an excellent Federation general.

Despite his diminuitive appearance, those who might initially mistake him as endearing have their assumptions brushed aside by his fearsome personality. He is very direct with his words, and he swiftly punishes those who seek to undermine Phyliss and her empire. He is rigidly loyal to Phyliss, swearing total allegiance to her and seeks nothing but to uphold her rule.

Pulse was discovered within a Valerian data crystal during [[Yeddo]]'s post-Blackout period by early tribes that would one day become the ancient Taranis Empire. Although the Taranis clan was one of the more aggressive of the Valerian bloodlines, Pulse swore loyalty to them nonetheless and believed them to be the best hope to restoring life to how it was before the [[Blackout]].

Though Pulse's memories were limited due to post-Blackout protocols, he knew of the location of several major Valerian artifacts to help give the Taranis clan their edge. He spoke of the remains of [[Kronos]], a [[machine god]] rendered braindead during the [[Singularity War]], that hid deep beneath the planet's surface. The wealth of knowledge and data centers he carried would help to give Taranis a technological jumpstart over their adversaries.

He has since continued to serve the Taranis bloodline for centuries, never once wavering in his loyalty. Each ruling monarch would pass on Pulse's data crystal to the next in line as he carried their accumulated knowledge and experiences with him.

In an act of desperation, [[Servall Corporation]] modified the Oracle's morality subroutines to make a decision that would minimize the loss of human life no matter the cost. Taking "no matter the cost" to the absolute extreme, the Oracle made the conclusion to completely decimate the planet Sanguine. Without warning, it launched a single [[tungsten rod]] that obliterated the majority of life on the planet. No attempt was made to rescue any of the innocents - whether they were captives to be used for sacrifices or if they were sympathisizers for finding a diplomatic solution.
