The time it took for her to get back caused significant time dilation which sent her forward in time by thousands of years, by which point the Valerian Empire was gone. Still bound by her oath to serve the empire, she sought out the direct descendants of the empress.

Eris is thought to be one of the last, if not the last pure-blooded Valerian. The majority of them went extinct during the [[Singularity War]] while the survivors had to interbreed with normal humans, losing most of their genetic abilties in the process.
