Thank you for 10k!! Update (Meetup + Bloopers) is a video celebrating the 10,000 subscriber milestone for The Virtual Reality Show YouTube channel.

Video description

Thank you so much for helping me hit 10k!! This is a huge step forward for the channel!! :D Valve Index should be shipping shortly… I will be hosting a meetup that you are welcome to join THIS Sunday, June 28th, at 7:00pm EST. Join the discord for details on how to join in! Also please enjoy these bloopers of TVRS, and let me know if a full length blooper-reel is something you’d like to see in the future :) Excited to see the future of TVRS!

PHIA: Hey guys, it's PHIA and holy guacamole we just hit 10k subs! I have some really special updates for you guys today that I want to take this opportunity to share. So make sure you stick around to the very end of this video, and you can hear details about the 10k TVRS meetup as well as some recording bloopers at the end of this video.

But before I dive into the updates, I just want to be very vocal to all of you about how thankful I am for all of your support. Because of The Virtual Reality Show, I've been able to put together an Army of VR lovers who are excited and passionate and have taken up this journey to spread the beauty of VR with the world one small step at a time. You guys are consistently blowing my mind away with your enthusiasm. I love receiving all of your messages and comments in support of what I'm doing. I promise that you can count on me to keep up the hard work and dedication, and I really hope you'll stick around for the ride to see where things go.

So, I am happy to announce that as of this week, I got the confirmation order to pay for my Valve Index. WOOOOOOOOOOO~!!! This is HUGE!!! I put in my order on April 13th and finally, I'm gonna have my ideal VR set-up including all the tracking I need for better VR content!

I will also be making an update to my video release schedule! Right now, I research, script, record, and edit all of the TVRS episodes myself, and unfortunately, for the quality of videos I would like to produce, I just can't keep up with releasing one episode a week. I will be switching to releasing an episode every other week after I release the next two episodes, so I have more time to create quality content for you all to enjoy.

I will be continuing the stream highlight videos and hopefully venture into some other types of content as well to help fill in the gaps between episodes, so don’t worry about missing out on PHIA content. Also don't forget that I stream three times a week over on Twitch. It's a great way to support me and we always have tons of fun together.

I just moved this past weekend, so I've been pretty busy, but I've been working hard away at one of my upcoming video covering phantom touch. I actually put out a research survey with some questions, and I'm hoping I can get about 100 people with phantom touch to respond to it, so take a look at the link in the description and fill it out for me if you have not already!

And also, I am super honored that I got to do a video podcast interview over at the Disrupt channel inside of VR! Me and Jak had a really great, deep discussion about the future of virtual reality. So, make sure to hop over to the Disrupt channel to watch or give it a listen on Spotify.

So to celebrate 10k, I would like to do a meet-up in VRchat with all of you! I'm planning to do it this Sunday, June 28th at 7 PM EST. So if you'd like to come hang out with me and my community, then join my Discord and leave on the notifications so that you can get pinged a reminder. I'm looking forward to meeting you there!

Anyways, thank you guys so much again. If you would like to support me in my endeavors with The Virtual Reality Show then please consider joining my Patreon! It's a big help, especially since I am currently making content as my full time job and pouring my heart into it each and every day. But even if not, just supporting my channel by liking, commenting or sharing my videos is a huge help. I'm look forward to meeting you in the virtual world! But before we head off, here's some celebratory TVRS bloopers.

(blooper reel plays)

PHIA: (laughs) Let me know if you guys enjoyed those bloopers and want to see more outtakes of my epic fails in recording and maybe I'll make a new compilation for you guys all later on. But with that, I will see you guys on the next episode. Bye!~

  • The TVRS Wiki was originally meant to be announced publicly upon The Virtual Reality Show reaching 10,000 subscribers. However, the channel saw higher than anticipated channel growth due to PHIA's interview at Disrupt, and the wiki was not yet ready to launch upon reaching the milestone. Thus, the announcement would be delayed to the 10k VRChat meetup.
