The Virtual Boy is a VR headset developed by Nintendo. It was released in Japan on July 21, 1995 and in North America on August 14, 1995. It uses stereoscopic 3D on a head-mounted display using red, monochrome graphics. The Virtual Boy was a commercial failure with a lifespan of only approximately one year. Only 22 games were made for the system.
