Werewolf

Werewolves are an intelligent canine-humanoid life form. They originate from the planet Loupa. When discovered, they were originally thought to be aliens, but further study confirmed they have irrefutable genetic similarity to humans and canines from Earth. As a result, it is believed that their ancestors were genetically engineered into a new species through artificial means. The reason for these modifications are unknown but many theorize it could have been anything from creating supersoldiers to the desire to modify one’s own appearance for cosmetic reasons.

Because the original werewolves were genetic recreations, they also contain DNA traces of other animals beyond canines. As such, non-canine features may occasionally be expressed in their offspring resulting in a wide variety of appearances such as different fur colors and patterns.
