Kratos Duellona is a general serving the Old Guard of Taranis. He is a half-Valerian with superhuman physique and perception. His primary duty is to command Phyliss Taranis' personal, professional troops and to lead them on security details and armed combat. In the chain of command, Kratos answers directly to Pulse, a lux and the right-hand of Phyliss.

Kratos is a descendant of the Duellona Bloodline who were once reputed as powerful guardians who served the royal family. He is related to Eris Duellona.

Appearance

Kratos is a muscular, tall man with dark skin and glowing blue eyes. On the top of his bald head is an intricate tattoo depicting the insignia of the ancient Taranis clan. Kratos wears a cloak covering the lower half of his face and a long cape. He wears purple, metallic bracers and greaves as part of his armor. He has a peak physical appearance in large part due to his Valerian genetics.

Personality

Kratos is a proud member of his bloodline and champions the ways of old. He is utterly loyal to Phyliss and seeks to protect her by upholding his duty as a warrior. Surprisingly, he is prefers an honorable fight. He is reluctant to face against other opponents who are honorable, good people, but he does what he must to champion the cause of Taranis. He strongly believes that Taranis is the path forward in restoring the ancient Valerian Empire, all in spite of the nation's aggressiveness towards their adversaries.

Skills and abilities

Kratos Duellona is a powerful half-Valerian warrior. Despite the Duellona bloodline having intermingled with normal humans, he is still just as strong as a pureblooded Valerian through his own intensive training regiments. His weapon of choice is a vibrating double-bladed polearm which he twirls about in an unpredictable fashion. The vibrating nature allows it to cut through the majority of various types of metal and armor, only capable of being blocked by adequate forcefields or unique types of alloys.

Kratos is a brilliant leader and tactitian. Despite being old-fashioned, he also has a way with words and is masterful at motivating his fellow warriors. A Federation dossier on him states that were it not for his affiliation with Taranis, he would make for an excellent Federation general.

Relationships

• Phyliss Taranis - He is absolutely loyal to her and fully believes in her cause.
• Pulse - Kratos tolerates Pulse's abrasiveness, but willingly chooses to obey him as he believes he is just as much of a key to the restoration of the Valerian Empire as Phyliss.
• Mortimer Nex - He views his methods of necromancy as atrocious and only works with him out of necessity.
