Race is a loosely applied term that is often used to refer to intelligent species that are capable of or may potentially be capable of direct two-way communication with humans. Different races may include but are not limited to genetic offshoots of humans, animals that developed a prefrontal cortex through natural evolution or genetic engineering, synthetic or digital beings that have achieved the singularity, or intelligent extraterrestrials.
