Jimmy Tie is a special agent that serves the royal government of Merin. It is rumored that Jimmy Tie is not actually his legal name, but rather, a title held by various agents that have served the Royal Family for generations. He is well-traveled, having full access to the government's spacefaring capabilities. Though he spends most of his time on Merin, he has frequently traveled to Yeddo and Torus for a variety of missions on behalf of the Merinian Royal Family.
To many, Jimmy Tie is considered one of the greatest spies in the galaxy with only a handful of rivals. While most of his personal life remains unknown, his name carries with it an almost romantic reputation of a charming hero from the shadows.
Appearance
Jimmy Tie, or at least the individual that holds the alias, is a light-skinned tall man often wearing a suit and tie. He is clean shaven and well-styled short hair. One of his signature attributes is wearing a red Merinian sea lily in his breast pocket.
Personality
Jimmy Tie is well-mannered, elegant and very intuitive. He is highly intelligent and cunning, knowing how to hide in plain sight. He is incredibly street smart, able to maintain conversations and improvise on the spot to keep his composure. He is also a bit of a womanizer, enjoying spending evenings with the opposite sex. However, his advances are temporary more often than not as he has reservations about starting his own family. His greatest fear is putting someone he loves in harm's way because of his work.
History
Jimmy Tie is a veteran of the Virtual Wars. He was put to work immediately after the assassination of the king of Merin, trying to track down who could have caused it. The front he fought in was in the shadows, navigating the white collar criminal underworld to uncover a variety of greater conspiracies. At some point, he had discovered that Virtuoso was profiteering from the war. He intervened with a major smuggling attempt where Virtuoso traded weapons with the Aether Cartels in exchange for heavy amounts of cybernephrine. The client for the cybernephrine was none other than Virtuoso's CEO at the time, Luthan Virtuoso.
While undercover, Jimmy Tie had an encounter with the charismatic assassin Echo, a shapeshifting android employed by Virtuoso. The two of them were trying to gather information on one another and are said to have spent more than one night together. Echo had tried to kill him on more than one occasion with her neurotoxin, but Jimmy Tie, being elusive as ever, had built up his immunity through the intense training of using his own nanobots as an extra layer of biological protection.
Skills and Abilities
Like many military personnel from Merin, Jimmy Tie is a nanomage. That is, he is equipped with a neural interface giving him direct control over the position of nanobot clouds. However, he specializes in usings his nanobots for undercover and infiltration missions. Among his abilities include using nanobots to create illusory copies of himself, turning invisible and changing his appearance at a distance by refracting light.
He also uses a special set of pistols, handguns and rifles directly integrated with his nanobots. These weapons are configured to fire bullets made of his nanobots which are far quieter than standard weapons. This aids in his stealth operations.
Jimmy Tie also has a variety of unique gadgets at his disposal, which he often synthesizes on the spot with his nanobots. He often hides a variety of traps and listening devices within common every day objects to spy on and track down his opponents. These nanobots can also conceal their heat signatures, allowing him to often pass through security checkpoints completely undetected.
