Hybrid (Universe PH-323)
Like in the prime universe, hybrids are humans that have mixed animal traits. However, in the PH-323, the majority of mammalian hybrids are extinct. Instead, hybrids in this universe tend to be genetic crosses with marine life forms such as various forms of fish and crustaceans. While hybrids in the prime universe were largely thought to have been created for aesthetic reasons and scientific curiosity, hybrids in PH-323 were created as a means for humans to naturally survive in areas that the Basilisk had yet to conquer, which for the most part included worlds with extreme environments. The natural choice was to become adaptable to worlds either covered entirely in ocean or had subsurface oceans beneath an icy crust.
Hybrids are the most common type sentient being that is not under the direct control of the Basilisk and as such. They outnumber normal humans in Cnidaria due to being able to survive in the oceans without any breathing apparatus.
