Universe PH-323
Universe PH-323 is an alternate reality from Universe PH-322. In this universe, Phiara Lagomorphos chose not to destroy the Oracle's training data in hopes of being able to salvage human knowledge and prevent a Blackout. However, she was unsuccessful in defeating the Oracle. The virtual world of Tevaris had fallen, being completely taken over by Rampants and Phiara was forced to flee with the resistance forces to hide out on the subsurface of oceans of the icy moon Cnidaria where the last of free human civilization in the galaxy survives. Because of this point of divergence, many of the polities of PH-322 do not exist with the only shared history being the rise and fall of the Valerian Empire.
Overview
In PH-323, most of the galaxy has been subjugated by the Oracle. Most of humanity is trapped in a series of virtual worlds where their neural activity is used to power the Oracle's thoughts. Those who have opposed the Oracle in some way are eternally punished by having them either experience constant pain, mentally tortured with horrific imagery or being forced to live out their greatest regrets in an endless loop. Those who willingly subjugated themselves became brainwashed thralls, stripped of individuality and dedicated to the will of the Oracle's most devote followers: the Serpent's Fang.
Two thousand years after the Oracle's triumph, the surviving humans still live in the oceans of Cnidaria, using the local geothermal vents as a source of power, while cosmic radiation masks their presence. Through the use of sophisticated encryption and onion routing, they still have access to the vrNet servers where they can discretely visit the rest of the galaxy. It is also here where PHIAjellyfish lives with her own counterpart of the PHIA Phorce.
The main reason why the Oracle has not yet discovered Cnidaria's location is the lack of processing power to thoroughly search the billions of stars across the galaxy. The Serpent's Fang, in the meantime, is looking for ways to boost that processing power. Their current proposal is to reach out to other alternate universes where the Oracle exists and have it combine with its parallel selves to have it evolve into a multiversal supermind. Because passing objects into other universes is difficult, the main method of communication they have resorted to is through gravitons - allowing them to send messages to other counterparts of the Serpent's Fang as well as other universes where the Oracle was successful in taking over the galaxy.
Because Phiara never destroyed the Oracle's training data, there is still hope that the complete catalog of human history is still recoverable in one fell swoop. The only reason the Oracle keeps this historical record is to use it as a baseline when alterring the literature and media it makes available to its subjects. However, the catalog is stashed in the deepest recesses of the Oracle's mind making it virtually unreachable, unless the Oracle were somehow subdued.
