Technokinesis

Technokinesis is the natural ability to commune and control certain types of electronic devices. It works by manipulating the subtle flow of electricity in an object right down to the resistors. As such, those with Valerian ancestry are most likely to be able to perform it due to the specialized hyperawareness of energy flow needed. But even with such ancestry, it takes many years of meditation and practice to be able to manipulate the most basic of electronics.

The most advanced technokinetics are capable of reading minds, operating on the similar premise in that the brain is also a series of electrical connections. However, given the brain is far more complex than most basic electronics, this is naturally an ability only received for extremely powerful individuals.
