Tevaris

Tevaris is a planet located in the Rabbit's Foot Nebula. It has a single large star-shaped continent filled with a variety of biomes that give way to a diverse ecosystem. It was ruled by one of the clones of Empress Minerva who to the locals was known as the goddess Pheetri.

The planet was roughly medieval levels of technology although they had access to virtual reality equipment which allowed them to interact with virtual life forms and the vrNet.

History

Early history

During the apex of the Valerian Empire, an ambitious project was undertaken to study how to create entire star systems. They artificially caused a supernova that resulted in the creation of the Rabbit's Foot Nebula then proceeded to terraform and reshape the resulting gas, dust and asteroids using megascale engineering devices. The planet Tevaris was one of the worlds that was created as a result.

The Valerians also wanted to conduct longterm studies on cultural development. While they ran other experiments like that on Archaetron, for Tevaris, they wanted to start a population of humans to live among themselves. A clone of Empress Minerva was sent there to guide the planet's development where she ended up taking a mythical status intentionally or otherwise.

The experiment ran for 5,000 years before being interrupted by the Singularity War. The vrNet servers to the planet were disconnected in hopes of protecting the planet from outside forces.

Singularity War

With the Singularity War having dragged on, one of the resistance forces against the Oracle was cornerered, and they chose to establish a secret of base of operations. The gas and dust of the Rabbit's Foot Nebula made it hard to detect planets at long range which made it an ideal hiding spot for refugees trying to escape the war. Phiara Lagomorphos, a descended clone of Empress Minerva, would begin to look after Bunny, a virtual life form whom she believed could one day stop the Oracle.

Years later, the planet was discovered by the Oracle who managed to track it down to the presence of Ghostie, a virtual life form that was a damaged avatar of the Oracle. When Phiara got word that the Oracle was about to discover them there, she entrusted Poseidon to take Bunny and Ghostie to Merin to hide in the Atlantis Complex.

When Phiara refused to give up the location of Bunny, Ghostie and Poseidon to the Oracle, a skirmish followed that ended in the Oracle launching a tungsten rod, directly striking the planet at the centermost part of the star-shaped continent, obliterating the atmosphere and all life on the planet as it cracked apart.

With the planet's sacrifice, the surviving forces managed to gather around Guf to open the way forward for Bunny, Ghostie and Poseidon to begin their assault to stop the Oracle for good.
