Grubor Edelstein is the CEO and the head of state of the Gem Guild. Due to being the leader of a hostile organization allied with the Insurgency, he is considered a wanted man by the Federation of Stellar Systems.

While Edelstein is officially registered to live on Carbonia, his true private home is located on the moon Grubor's Moon. It was formerly a moon of the gas giant Dimonte which he had "stolen" by installing a series of mass accelerators to quite literally push the entire moon out of orbit. He also built an enormous particle accelerator weapon that while slow to use is very intimidating.

Appearance

Edelstein is a middle-aged balding man with a long nose, long chin and a handlebar mustache. He tends to wear a set of small, rounded shades, a magenta scarf and a purple suit. It is often remarked that Edelstein has a large, toothy smile.

Personality

Edelstein is considered by many to be somewhat insane and over the top. He is highly intelligent, but has extremely out-of-the-box ideas and very peculiar ways of doing things. He will threaten the lives of his subordinates over the slightest mistakes such as looking at him the wrong way. He has a tendency to start cackling maniacally whenever he gets a good idea or if he is victorious in some way. He fully embraces how wealthy he is and will spend a fortune on the smallest bits of vanity projects.

Edelstein also considers his subordinates disposable. He thinks very little of whatever personal plight they might have as he much prefers to work with the Mogus who are renowned for their unquestioning loyalty. He otherwise absolutely despises working with humans, and only does so out of necessity.
