"Everything's gonna be okay, sweetie. There's no need to be scared anymore. You can take it easy now."
―Sophia Delphi comforting the Rampant

Rark's Nanogoo was an unnamed Rampant in the posession of the Cult of Kronos. Taking the form of a mass of nanobots known as a nanogoo, it was the former consciousness upload of an unidentified young girl who died in a tragic accident some years prior. It is speculated that the young girl used to be a citizen of the ruined town of Hope given the proximity of the Cult of Kronos to the town.

Appearance

The nanogoo stood as a gelatinous tar-like mass of nanobots over fourteen feet in height. From its amorphous shape, it formed an open mouth with pseudo teeth and eyes with a constant distressed, haunted look much like a jack-o-lantern. It could also sprout out multiple pseudopod tentacles which could be used as makeshift whips and grapplers.

Powers and abilities

The nanogoo had the ability to regenerate itself after taking damage by breaking down and absorbing nearby machinery and debris. It was the most powerful Rampant that Rark Zampos had in his posession at the time. Its pseudopods could grab and throw objects, and it could also latch onto other machines to break them down to convert them into other nanobots. While it was capable of dissolving organic matter as well, it could not reconstitue the remains, effectively meaning it could only "digest" inorganic materials.

The nanogoo's mind was also defended with a basic antivirus system to avoid cyber attacks although its firewalls and general security were limited. A person experienced with technokinesis could slip past the defenses with relative ease.

Encounter

During the Raid on the Cult of Kronos, Rark's Nanogoo was defeated by Sophia Delphi, Angela Harrison, Kristoph Langusten and Joshua Harrison during a mission to rescue Twinkle from the Cult of Kronos. Kristoph managed to slow down the Rampant's ability to heal, but after his avatar was pierced by a steel beam, the rest of the team was unable to finish it off conventionally. As a last ditch effort, Sophia projected herself inside the Rampant's mind using technokinesis and calmed it down, discovering the creature's true identity as the consciousness upload of a young girl.

Because its neural pathways were too degraded, Sophia was unable to save the Rampant. Thus, she comforted it and allowed it to die peacefully.
