Sparkle is a lux who is part of Megumi Nekomata's holofauna team. Sparkle was originally acquired by Megumi via a data crystal. Megumi was enjoying a round at the all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant at Zakana's Sushi in Kantoh. Being a frequent visitor as well as someone who helped handle unruly customers multiple times, she became really good friends with the owner who gave her the data crystal as small token of thanks. The owner confessed to not knowing what it was, only that his family several generations ago acquired it from an antique store, believing it to be nothing more than a small trinket.
Megumi soon discovered that inside the data crystal was Sparkle, who had no memories of who she was. Unaware of her true nature as a lux, Megumi kept her as a pet and eventually began training her to be part of her holofauna team. Sparkle was quick to accept as she saw it as an avenue to gain knowledge and learn about her environment.
Appearance
Sparkle is a plump, silvery white rabbit-like creature with long ears and large eyes. Compared to other lux, she has a somewhat feminine appearance, particularly with her almond eyes and long eyelashes.
Personality
Sparkle is somewhat haughty and proud. Despite this, she is still loyal to Megumi and competently helps her out with her tasks.
Sparkle did not learn of her past connection to the Valerian Empire until much later. Even then, she holds very little attachment to the past in general. She directs her hardwired sense of loyalty to Megumi, believing that even though she's not of royal blood, she can bring people together through her work with holofauna, vrNet broadcasting and the Games Arena.
Relationships
- Megumi Nekomata - Although she does get irritated by Megumi spoiling her all the time, Sparkle is fiercely loyal to her and wants to make sure she does well.
- Twinkle - Twinkle has a crush on her. Sparkle plays hard to get in response, but even she can't help but ignore a rare opportunity to meet another one of her kind.
- Sophia Delphi - Sparkle admires Sophia in looking after Twinkle. However, Sparkle is not fully convinced that Sophia is truly meant to be the successor of the Valerian Empire.
