DYN-0 is a synthetic life form taking a shape resembling a velociraptor. He hails from the artificial planet Archaetron - a megastructure where during the early Valerian Empire, the world was seeded with self-replicating nanobots that mimicked Darwininian evolution. Over 30,000 years, a fully fledged intelligent synthetic biosphere and even an intelligent civilization evolved from it, although during the Blackout, it was cut off from human contact for centuries.
DYN-0 has an adoptive son named Grant Cuvier, a human who was stranded on Archaetron as a young boy from a crashed starship. Although he has selective mutism, Grant is extraordinarily gifted in engineering, robotics and paleontology and was able to very quickly pick up on the cyberbiology of Archaetron's life forms. DYN-0 works tirelessly to make sure he is safe from the planet's dangerous environment.
Appearance
Resembling a velociraptor, DYN-0 takes a therapod stance and has fully fledged fingers allowing him to freely manipulate objects. He has a sleek grey aluminimum color overall.
Personality
Despite his rather intimidating appearance, DYN-0 is very enigmatic and curious about his environment. Up until finding his way to Yeddo, he had hardly seen organic beings. He finds them quite fascinating, if not a bit alien. He is somewhat spacey and scatterbrained but exceedingly competent at his specialties.
History
Back on Archaetron, DYN-0 was often involved in conflicts where giant synthetic life forms known as mechafauna would clash with one another. These beings would often cause natural disasters, and thus, he found himself in a position where he served as a first responder, rescuing others from collapsing buildings.
When the Rampant virus began to spread on his homeworld, he joined up with the PHIA Phorce to help find the cause.
Skills and Abilities
DYN-0 possesses natural physical strength with his synthetic physiology. His true specialty, however, is his engineering and explosives knowledge. He has combat experience in the battles between the giant mechafauna that regularly caused natural disasters. As such, he is intimately familiar with locating the weakpoints in large structures.
